  • Most veterans are trained and familiar with working on or with machinery, heavy equipment, and dealing with heights and the outdoors.
  • Veterans successfully perform their roles and duties in challenging environments without losing sight of the importance of their mission and their team – all characteristics and principles that the wind energy industry values in their workforce.

These skills and attributes are important for success in the U.S. wind industry, and it’s clear that veterans are a good fit for wind-powered careers, as they find jobs in wind at a rate 61 percent higher than the national average.
