AWEA Wind Project O&M and Safety Conference

August 25 – 26, 2021
Kalahari Resorts and Conventions | Round Rock, TX

Important Event Announcement: After extensive deliberation and careful consideration, AWEA has made the decision to postpone the 2021 event scheduled to take place on February 24 – 25. The event will now take place August 25 – 26, 2021 at the same venue, Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Round Rock, TX.

The health and safety of our attendees, our staff and our communities remain our top priority. By postponing the event, we hope this can alleviate health concerns, as well as avoid restrictions that might currently limit some people’s ability to travel to the conference. In addition, we want to ensure when we do come together, the event is providing as much value to you and your team as possible.

Thank you again for your continued support while we navigate these challenging times. If you have any questions, please contact us at conference@awea.org.

Maintain the Interconnection

The way we do business in and outside of the renewables industry has been transformed over the last 6 months. All facets of business have been fundamentally reset, especially how we engage with others. The world is learning how to stay connected, while remaining physically apart. How to communicate, lead and be present, even when you're distant.

We all know that electricity is a necessity—access to reliable, affordable power is the lifeblood of our economy. Our healthcare systems, commerce, our own homes depend on it. With wind workers on the frontlines helping to keep the lights on every day, it is critical for the power sector to stay connected, in order to keep the world connected. Our teams must work together to maintain efficient and resilient operations, ensure grid reliability, and do so while continuing to keep the safety of wind techs top priority.

The AWEA Operations & Maintenance and Safety Conference is where the industry connects to recognize these unique challenges and identify solutions in health and safety, operations and maintenance, workforce training and development, and quality assurance. What leadership skills are needed to manage teams effectively? How is technology being leveraged to maintain communications and reliability of projects? How has your behavioral safety culture been impacted by the pandemic? Join top developers and experts at the AWEA Wind Project O&M and Safety Conference to address these important topics.

The 2020 conference drew more than 1,150 attendees and over 130 exhibitors. If you couldn't join us or would like to listen to a session again, you can purchase the live audio recordings and presentations here.
